[reuter's telegrams.] Vienna, June 25. King Milan of Servia has arrived in this city on a formal visit, which is intended to counteract Austrian distrust. The new Servian Cabinet, which has been formed under the leadership of M. Ristics, supports Russia. London, Juno 20. Addressing a meeting at Manchester last night, the Marquis of Hartington declared that a reunion of the Liberal party at the present juncture was impossible, but expressed willingness to enter into a conference on the subject if Mr Gladstone should propose such conference at some future date. London, June 24. Mr E. Langton, of Melbourne, has contracted to sell Mr Joseph Clarke's island block claim. A company, with a capital of £50,000, is being formed to take over a claim in Otago. Lord and Lady Carnarvon sail for Australia early in September. Capt. Plunkett has assumed magisterial control of Cork, owing to the Mayor favouring the rioters. Tne Russian Government will shortly,
commence the construction of a railway from Siberia towards the North Pacific Ocean. The work is to be completed in five years. It is reported that Bokhara chieftains, despite the order of the Ameer, refuse to allow the Russian forces to advance into Budakshan. Recent news received from Afghanistan is favourable to the Ameer. Mr H. O'Donnell, formerly member for Dungarvan, intends to bring a libel action against the Times, in order to raise the issues relating to "Parnellism and Crime/' A German loan of 238,000,000 marks is announced, with Tyhich.it is intended to construct the Baltic Canal and complete the railways. J Capetown, June 24. The N.Z.S. Co.'s s.s. Kaikoura left here this evening for New Zealand ports.
