Lodge Beta, Hamilton: Installation of Officers.

Last evening, S. John's Day, the W.M. ] and officers; of Lodge Beta, 450,1.C., were installed according to custom, the ceremony being' performed "in the lodgeroom. Owing •to tho extremely bad weather, there was , not nearly such a large attendance of -visiting brethren as might have been expected. Lodge Alpha was represented by the W.M. (BrO. W. Sargent) and tho S.W.' (Bro. Russell). The duties of installing'master, were performed by P.M. Bro. S. E. G. Smith. The Lodge was opened in the first and raised to the second degree, when the W.M. elect was duly presented and took the obligation. The Lodge was then raised to the third degree, when the W.M. was duly installed. The following are the list of the; new officers W.M., Bro. C. J. W*. Barton ; S. W'., Bro. R. Edwards; J.W., Bro. W. F. Bell ; S.D., Bro. G. White ; J.D., Bro. H. Biggs ; Secretary and Treasurer, P.M. Bro. Geo. Edgecuinbe (reelected):; 1.G., Bro. Rathborne ; Tyler, Bro. S. Pascoe. At the close of tho ceremony the-brethren adjourned to the Oddfellows' Hall, were a dance wound up the proceedings, and a most enjoyable evening was spent. The installation ceremony of Lodge Alpha, Cambridge, takes place next Thursday evening.
