The general health of the hospital patients is good, with the exception of the lad, George Smith, who still lies in a very critical condition. Mr William James, late hotelkeeper, of Te Awamutu, has filed a petition to be adjudged a bankrupt. The first general meeting of creditors is advertised to take place on the 23rd inst. Mr A. (!. S. Black has recently erected and furnished throughout a very comfortable temperance hotel at Otorohanga where ho can now offer excellent acccommodation to the travelling public, tourists and others. He is also prepared to furnish guides and horses to those wishing to visit the eaves and other points of interest, in the district,
