Auckland Racing Club's Winter

Meeting. Thkuk was splendid weather for the winter meeting on Saturday, but the attendance was small. The following are the results of the races :— Maiden Steeplechase of lOOsovs. About two and a half miles. Mr F. F. Fitzgerald's Omata f Mr J. Kavanagh's Tawhiao f Mr D. Twoliill's Revenge 3 Wildboy and Magnesia also ran. The owners of Tawhiao and Omata agreed to divide the stakes, and the totalisator paid nn both—namely, £12 to investors on Tawhiao, while those who had backed Omata only received 18s for their pound. Handicap Hurdle Race of lOOsovs. Mr J. Kean's Victory ... 1 Mr W. K. Carter's Coral 2 Mr J. O'Neill's Wat Tyler ... .. 3 Time, Itnin 45sec. The totalisator dividend was £2 7s.
