Several bankruptcy notices appear in our adveitisement columns. Mr T. H. White, architect, invites tenders for the erection of a hotel at Runciman, near Drury. The Hamilton poundkeeper inserts a notice in this issue, Mr Chas. Crowthor, Rangitaiki, notifies his intention to apply for an accommodation license at the next sitting of the Taupo Licensing Committee. The success which has attended the sale of Mr John Lamb's patent porridge meal is phenomenal. Mr Lamb's agent, Mr Rickett's, has induced most of the storekeepers in Waikato to give it a trial, and they one and all testify to its excellence, as guaged by the demand. Mr Lamb has received a large number of flattering testimonials from people who have used the meal, including several from the matron of Orphan Home at Parnell.
