A certain American judge was advocating capital punishment. An Irishman who was present had listoned for some time to the discussion, vainly trying to get in a word; at last he succeeded, and the following dialogue took place between him and the judge. "So yez wud hang a man for killing another won, wud ye?" "That is my way, sir." "Wud yez hang him for the furst won he kilt, yer honour?"
