Judgment for Plaintiffs

Wellington, Wednesday. The Court; of Appeal (their Honours Chief Justice Prendergast, Mr Justice Richmond, and Mr Justice Williams presiding) was occupied this morning in hearing arguments in the case Auckland Hospital and Charitable Aid Board v. Waipa County Council. This was a special case in which the plaintiffs had sued in the Supreme Court at Auckland the defendants for £238 14s Bd, being the amount alleered to be due by them under the Hospital and Charitable Aid Act, 1885. After hearing the evidence at the above Court, it was ordered, by consent, that the questions involved should be stated in a special case for the Court of Apeal, judgment to be entered up jb that Court directed. Judgment was given for the plaintiffs for the amount claimed.
