FOOTBALL.
Cambridge Day School v. Night School.
A very interesting match took place in the Government paddock, Cambridge, last Saturday, between the above teams, which resulted in a win for the day school by seven points (two tries and a goal) to nil. The following played for the day school Leo. Bull (capt.), Leo. Bull, ltishwoi th [2), Nixon (2), McVeagh, Hicks, Soutter, Richardson, MclCearney, Evans, Mclvernon, Walker, Armer, and Morse. For night school the following played: —Sargent (capt.), Richardson, Armer, Jones, McFarlane, Tate, Robbie, Bowley, Arnold, Reeves, and McKearney. The play throughout was of a very interesting and exciting character, but evidently the night school boys want more practice together. They played a very plucky game throughout, and no doubt the result would have been different had they indulged more in passing, and not trusted so much to their strength. The day school played a far more open game, yet it would be well for a few of the little boys who played forward not to be quite so selfish with the ball. They deserve great credit for their pluck in stopping the continual rushes of their more sturdy opponents. While not commenting on the play of any individual, we might mention that for the day school Len. Bull, Leo.jßull, H. Rishworth, and Hicks played a very good game, both tries being obtained by Len. Bull, while his brother kicked the goal. ' For the night school great credit is due to Armer, Robbie, Jones, Sargent, and Richardson.
