[BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN COHREKPONDKNT.] Pakuoa, Wedndsday. A MEV.TINO of miners to consider the question of the charges for treatment lit Kailey's plant was held this afternoon at Karangahake. There was a - fair attendance. It was suggested that the following scale should be proposed to the owners of the plant, and also sent to the Minister of Mines for his approval :—Parcels under 5 tons, 40s per ton ; between 5 and 10 tons, 35s per ton ; between 10 and 20 tons, 30 s per ton; and upwards, as per agreement. It will be noticcable that the proposed scale is quantitative, and not qualitative, as are the present charges.
