THE REVOLT IN BULGARIA.
«. EXECUTION OF THE RINGLEADERS. [rkoter's temmjuams. ] [Received March 7th, 11.10 a.m.] Sofia, March 5. Among those sentenced to death for participation in the recent rising at Rustchuck are Colonel Tilorj, Major Onzonoff, and a Russian civilian named Bolouman. The European Consuls at Rustchuck have recommended that an appeal for mercy on their behalf be made to the Regents at Solia. (Received March 7th, 5.20 p.m.) Sofia, March G. Sentence of death passed on the rebels was to-day carried out at Rustchuck, in the cases of Majors Ouzonoff and PongofF, one captain and four lieutenants of the Bulgarian Army and two civilians, all of whom were shot. A sentence of imprisonment for 15 years' was passed upon four lieutenants and two civilians. Bolouman, a- Russian, who was found guilty of participation in the rising and sentenced to death, has been delivered over to the Russian Consul at Rustchuck. Sentence has been deferred in the case of Colonel Til off, who took part in the rebellion, and was among thosa condemned to death.
