THE CAMBRIDGE LOAN.
The voting on the question of borrowing £3000 for the Borough of Cambridge took place on Saturday last. The town did not appear more lively than upon any sale day, and indeed very many were not aware of the polling that was going on. The numbers registered were :—For the loan, 112 ; against, 22. As it required 157 votes to carry the loan, it was of course lost. It was not expected to carry it, there being so many absentees.
