In the House of Commons to-day, Earl Dunraven made a statement in reference to his resignation. He explained the reason he had taken this step was he had insisted on economy in public expenditure. Hβ bad objected to coercion in Ireland. The remedy for the evils in that country he considered would be an extensive measure for securing local automony on a representative basis. .
