♦ [BV TKLKGIUPH.— I'HBSS ASSOCIATION. Dunedin, Tuesday. In Hall's case, at the Supremo Court today, Mr Chapman renewed hi* applic.-ition for a postponement till the 24th inst., which was agreed to. The Crown Prosecutor, instructed by the Crown Prosecutor at Titnani, applied for a special jury, the de fence consenting. The application was granted, the judge remarking that if criminal cases were to bu tried by special jurie-. at all, this was one of th« kind of cases the Legislature contemplated when it authorised the trial of criminal cases by special juries. It understood that the defence wii' be conducted by Messrs Fred Chapman, Denniston and Perry.
