S, Paul's. Wesleyan.

This picnic was held at Mwiavale, the residence of Mr E. B. Walker, at Cambridge West. A number of coaches, breaks, waggons, &c., were provided, and a start was made from S. Paul's Church about half-past nine. After a somewhat dusty journey, the occupants of the vehicles were glad to get shelter beneath a clump of pine trees, where a capital lunch had been provided. During the afternoon, in addition to swings and races, there vvere a number of contests for singing and reciting. Tea having been partaken of and the prizes distributed, the company returned home pleased but dusty.. There was a very large attendance, and the thanks of thb congregation are due to Mr Walker and the members of his family for their hospitality.
