HAMILTON BOROUGH COUNCIL
The council met in committee last night to consider the proposal to erect baths in the Waikato River. The Bath Committee's report ,was adopted, the plans having been approved of, and the engineer was instructed to call for tenders for the erection of the b.iths, to be in by Thursday, 6th January. The following tenders were received for carting, lamplighting, and supply of dog collars : — R. Waite : Two horses and dray, 12s per day, 6s halt day, 3s quarter day; one horse and dray, 8s per day, half day, 4s, quarter day, 2s, one hour, Is 2d (accepted). C. Carthy : Two horses and dray, 12s Gd per day, 7s half day, 3s Gd quarter day ; one horse and dray, 8s 6d per day, 4s Gd half day, 2s Gd quarter day, Is Gd per hour. L\mplk;hting.— G. M.iyes, 4d per day per lamp (accepted.) l)o<; Collars.— R. Peat, Gd each ;A, Y. Phillips, Md .each (accepted.) The council resumed. The report of the work done in committee was approved and adopted by the council. The council then adjourned.
