LATEST P AERO A NEWS. [BY OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Pakroa, Monday.
The Ohinenmri County Council have applied for subsidies at the rate of £1 for £1 from the Government on the following goldfields works :— Ground tramway from Karang.ihake, Te Aroha track, to^ the new quartz reduction works, £200; extension of same track, £300; tramway from the Monastery mine to new works, £200 ; and connection between Union, Silverton and Rosemont mines with the Martha Battery, Waihi, £250 ; total, £750. Most of the above being approved by Mr Gordon, mining engineer, it is highly probable that they will be granted. Thirty bag-? of ore from the Rosemotit, Waiht, ' have Ivjen sent to the new Era battery, Waiorongomai.
