ACCIDENT AT HUNTLY.
Ykstkkdat morning a miner named Frederick Cox met with an accident whilst helping to make an embankment acroHs the swamp at Huntly. It appears that whilst digging at the side of the hill the earth above suddenly gave way and fell upon Cox, causing injuries to the spine and cheat. Dr Murch was in attendance and recommended his removal to Auckland which was immediately done. Much sympathy is felt for his wife and family as Cox was a hardworking, steady man.
