The Licensing Committee. Auckland, Monday Night. The City North Licensing Committee had a review day at quarterly meeting today, in which they warned a number of publicans. Superintendent Thomson spoke strongly about the bad way in which aon.e houses were conducted.
Arrival of Racehorses. The s.B. Mararoa which arrived this morning, brought the racehorses Nelson, Waitiri, and Crutchfield, to fulfil their engagements at the summer meeting. Major George was al«o a passenger.
Burglary. Henderson and Macfarlane's store was broken into, and a quantity of goods abstracted.
