The Strawberry Crop. Auckland, Friday Night. The strawberry crop is reported short, and the price was raised to-day from four pence to sixpence a quart.

School HolidaysAt the 13 >ard of E location to-d.iv thn Graf ton School Committee resigned, be causa the board ignored their recommendations re the holidays. The resignation-* were accopted. The board authorised the enlargement of the Huutly School at a cost of £280.
Horse Sales. At Mr Buckland's horse sale to-day, .some medium draught colts fetched £12 :i piece. Some 90 horses were offered at Hunter ami Nolans weekly sale. There were KiO liors-s for buyers to select from, prices beinj? ab mt as follows : — Ordinary hack*, £4 to £0 ; heavy draught, £15 to £20. The supply of horseflesh is far in advance of the demand, and the prices fetched consequently were low.
The Markets. At the City Markets to-day fiir price 1 * were fetched for poultry ; Lamb (».ide-<) went at the astonishing low price of 2s per side.
