Takapuna Jockey Club Spring Meeting.

The meeting on Saturday was one of the most pleasant which have been held. The course was in capital order. The following are the results of the various e\ents :—: — Maidkn Hurdles of 25do\s. Mr J. Mitrailleuse Rewi, Buzzard, Brown Rose, and Lionel were scratched. Victoria was the favourite at 2 to 1, the only others backed being Victory 4 to 1 and The Cat 5 to 1. Novel Race. Miss Griffiths fell in this race and broke her neck, and her rider (Kdgecumbe) was severely shaken and cut about the head and face. Time, 7min. IChecs.
