Time, 3min. 12.isecs, There was £34G on the totalizator, 139 t>n the winner, and the dividend was £2 4s. Maiden Plate, of 23sovs. Mr D. McKinnon's Brown Roae .. 1 Messrs R. and R. Pnder's Lionel . . 2 Mr J. O'Neill's Wat Tyler .. 3 Mr C. Annetts Vi\id also ran. Scout and Jessie were scratched. Time, 2mins. ftosecs. Frasers Aimee . ... . . 3 Mr B. Thompson's Yuba Bill, Mr Thompson's Jessie, Mr James Kean'a Victory, and J. Stenton's Riidames also ran. Mitrailleuse Rewi, Buzzard, Brown Rose, and Lionel were scratched. Victoria was the favourite at 2 to 1, the only others backed being Victory 4 to 1 and The Cat 5 to 1. Novel Race. Blarney 1 Kaiwaka 2 Rosewood 3 Handicap Steeplechase, of 80sovs. Second horse to receive lOsovs. out of stakes. About three miles. Mr J. Keans Silvio . 1 Messrs R. and R. Duder's Belle 2 Mr P. J. Boxton's Huntsman 3 Quilp, Tiger, Miss Griffiths, Pipi, Omata, and Lamkia also ran. Guy Fawkes, Alaric, Manaia, Master, and Zip were scratched. Miss Griffiths fell in this race and broke her neck, and her rider (Kdgecumbe) was severely shaken and cut about the head and face. Time, 7min. IChecs.
