Racing, During to-day 100 to 10 was accepted about Victoria for the Auckland Cup. Longwaist was scratched this morning tor all engagmentd at the meeting, Necklace for the Auckland Cup and Racing Club Handicap, and Wapiti for the Cup.
The Unemployed. Before leaving for the South the Minister of Justice authorised a number of the unemployed to be taken on at the Mount Eden works. These are now fully mannod, and men are still seeking work from the District Surveyor.
