Te Aroha, Monday. Messrs A. Buckland and Co., held their first horse sale in the yards adjoining Bradley and Cos., stables on Saturday. There was a Rood attendance and a number of the animals offered were disposed of at fair prices. It is their intention to hold similar sales periodically. In support of tho application made to the Colonial Secretary and the Minister of Justice when here recently by 'deputations that waited upon them relative to the appointment of a doctor at the baths a petition is now in course of signature by residents and visitors requesting Government to assist in subsidising a competent medical practitioneer. Heavy rain fell here all last night.
