The Horticultural Show. Au'KJiWn, Friday Night. The Gardener's Hoiticviltnr.il Show to-day was highly successful. Cut flowois were especially fine- Ttio loqwats and pooseberiies were a pood show. Several plates of last year's apples uer» shewn Rood keepers.
A Mining Boom. There w.\s some excitement in the Sharemarket this innrnmur, consequent upon the receipt of good titling from the Cuiihri.v Mine. Shares sprang from 2s Gi to 3h, but in the afternoon ntf.iin >t inached the old price.
The Wheat Market. The large quantities of wheit recently shipped from the New Zealand ports to the United Kingdom and Australian colonies have had a perceptible effect upon the market here, and the result in that repeated increases in the valuo of flour have been recorded. To day's quotations show a general rise of 10s per ton on local brands.
Market Quotations. Wholesale : Butter, prime fresh, 7d ; cheese, pood factory, HJd to <Hd ; Canter bury, GW; bacon and hams, provincial, Cd tofd.
