HAMILTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Thk adjourned meeting of tho council was held last nif?ht. Present: His Worship the Mayor, Oh. Edgecutnbe, Knox, Tippen, Yon Stunner, Jones, Scott and Barton. Caitlk on thk Sthkkts.— The Comniittee appointed for the purpose, recommended chat the offices of ranger, poundkeeper and dog.tax collector be amalgamated, and that applications for the appointment be invited. An addition was moved by Cr. Knox, to the effect that the ranger receive £20 per annum. This was seconded by Cr. Yon Stunner. An amendment, "That the report be adopted as read," moved by Cr. Kdtfpcutnbe and seconded by Cr. Jones, was carried, and the report was adopted. This was all tho business.
