Mr F. C. German and Mr J. J3. Teasdale were appointed at a special meeting of the Waipa Council on Wednesday to represent Waipa on the Hospital and Charitable Aid Board for the new district. The clerk received instructions to wiite to the traffic manager stating that tho general impiession in tho distiict was that Monday and Wednesday would bo the most suitable days to run the late tram thiough to this station. The thoroughbred entire Bothwell met with an accident at Kihikihi on Wednesday. He backed on to a disc hanow, cutting the muscles and sinews of ono of his hind legs through to tho bone. Ho was insured in tho Australian Livo Stock Insurance Company for £'70. Mr W. A. Walton, the general manager, came up to see into the matter, and by his orders tho hoi so was shot to-day (Friday). His Lordship Bishop Cowie arrived hero by this (Friday) afternoon's train.
