SERIOUS STABBING AFFRAY ON THE HIGH SEAS. [BY TELEGRAPH.— PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Friday.
xVrrived, the ship Timani, Captain Fallerton, 10'J days, from London. On Monday, Bth, a heavy gale sprang up, and all hands were called on deck to shoiten sail. Bowling, chief officer, finding that a Beaman named Williams did not come when called, wont to 'fetch Williams who refused to come out, and the oHicer tried to push him out, when he turned upon Bowling and stabbed him near the right lung. The would-be murderer then made another attempt to use the knife, but was prevented by a sailor named Moore. On hearing the pcufHe, nther*> rushed in and secured Williams, who was placed in irons. Bowling's wound is very dangerous, and although he is f till very weak, is progressing well. Williams will be brought before the R.M. Court to-morrow.
