ACTION FOR DAMAGES.
[by telegraph.— pbes.s association.] Chris rcHuncH, Monday. The Supreme Court was occupied all day in the trial of a civil action, tho amount in which was £000 damages, sought by a lad James Sulliv.in from his employers, Hale and Throw, rope and twine manufacturers. The plaintiff had lost the fingers of his right hand, which wero crushed in one of tho machines through the negligence of another of Hale, Throw, and Co. 'a workmen. Tne jury found for plaintiff damages £200.
