The Markets. Auckland, Friday Night. Various alterations have been made sinco last Friday. In timber thcro is a general fall in prices; potatoes have fallen in value, owing to the market being over stocked, and are quoted nominally at £3 a ton ; bran, sharps, and oatmeal have also suffered n slight reduction ; fresh butter, 7d to 8d per lb.
The Stark Enquiry. At tlifi Stark Purchase Enquiry to-day, F. G. Ewington, land agent, E. Bail, architect, and S. Brooking gave evidence. The two fonncr gentlemen thought £10,000 too much had boon paid for the estate. <i
