KIHIKIHI. Opening of New Foresters' Court.

A court of the above order was opened hero on Friday evening. Bros. Lepine, D.C.R. ; Shepherd, S.C.R. ; Garrett. U.S. ; Fitness ]).B. ; Featheringhatn, S. ; were present at the opening ceremonies. When the court was opened eleven candidates were initiated and formed into a court to be called "Court Kihikihi.'.' The eleoI tion of officers was then proceeded with. The following are the officers : — Brothers ,T. Clark, C.R. ; J. Anderson, S.C.It. ; W. MeNanorht, T. ; R. Boyne, S. ; J. OBrien, «,W. ;F. Moody, J.W. ;E. Wilkinson, 5.8. ; 1). Rohs, J.B. The C.R. being installed by the district officers then formally installed the officers of Court Kihikiki. Several candidates having been proposed, the Court closed, and the brethren adjourned to the Kihikihi Hotel, where an excellent supper was laid by Host And«rBon. The company spent a very pleasant evening. After the usual loyal and Foresters' toaßts were proposed and duly honoured, the musical portion of the assembled brethren sang several songs, the non-sineers giving several good recitations. The Auckland delegates were shown tound the place next morning, and before leaving complimented Mra Anderson on. the excellence of her supper, which they said was quite equal to any which they had attended in Auckland. Those who are acquainted with the cuisine of the Kihikihi Hotel can fully endorse the complimentary remarks of the visitors.

CRICKKr. A new cricket club has been formed here, and had their first practice on Saturday. In due time no doubt challenges will be issued to other Waikato Clubs.

MOBK PETTY THIEVING. Some light-fingered gentleman stole a portmanteau from Mr Black's room in Andersons Hotel last week. No clue as ' yet has been discovered as to the identity of the thief. Besides* the portmanteau, handkerchiefs, etc., and some silver in a pocket of a vest were also taken. This is only one of a series of petty thefts committed here lately.— (Own Correspondent.)
