WESLEYAN QUARTERLY MEETING. Cambridge Circuit.
The quarterly meeting of the Cambridge Circuit was held in S. Paul's Church on Friday afternoon, the Rev. J. Rishworth in the chair. The circuit stewards, Messrs Richard Reynolds and Joseph Gane submitted the balance-sheet which showed a ■mall balance to credit. An invitation was resolved upon, asking him to remain in the circuit for another year. Mr Rishworth cordially accepted the invitation which will be forwarded to the Conference for approval. After the usual routine business had been disposed of, a tea meeting and social gathering was held in the schoolroom. There was a large attendance, and after tea was over an excellent programme was gone through aa follows :— Pianoforte duet, the Misses Gane ; address, Rev. J. Rishworth ; anthem, " The Lord is King," choir ; recitation, Master F. Rishworth; solo, Miss Davien ; address, Mr D. Caley, senr. ; ■010, Mrs Roberts; address, Mr R. Reynolds ; solo, Miss Caley ; reading, Mr R. Caley ; solo, Mr R. Davies ; recitntion, Mr Roberts; duet, Misses Nixon and Davies ; anthem, " Arise and Shine," choir ; pianoforte duet, the Misses Nixon. The proceedings closed with the doxology and the benediction. Mr Caley gave an invitation for the next meeting to be held at his residence at Pukerimu. The invitation was accepted.
To Awamutu impounding notice in another column. The Fakuranga Hounds meet at Te Awamutu at 11 a.m. to-day. The Hamilton Football Team are invited to play a match against a combined teun at re Awamutu at their earliest convenience. Mr John Knox will sell at the Hamilton Mart on Saturday, clothiug, tinware, furniture, produce, &c, &c. The thoroughbred stallion Bothwell will travel Waikato during the coming season.
