CAMBRIDGE DOMAIN.

This attractive spot is now putting on its spring garb. A considerable amount of planting has recently been done at the lower end of the domain near the waterfall, and this portion of the grounds, which was ploughed up and fenced last year, will shortly be in grass, and will present a very pleasing appearance. Along the margin of the creek running to the waterfall willows have been planted, and groups of pampas, grass and various ornamental trees have been placed where they will show off in the most picturesque manner. A new flower-bed has also been made near the engine-house, and as the season progresses the domain will be a very attractive spot. One feature, though at present a cheerful one on account of the rich mass of colour it displays in contrast with the fern, will doubt ess be removed ere long, namely, a healthy patch of gorse on the side of the hill abreast of the railway station, lne caie.taker and contractor, Mr P. Brown, ha«. carried out all the work entrusted to him inn \ery satisfactory manner, and the order in which ho has kept the cultivated portion of the Riound* is most creditable to him. Afcssts T. AVellH and J . * ihl.er. members of the domain board, paid a vi.«it of inspection to the domain on Wednesday, and e\press"d themselves highly satisfied \\ ith what they saw.

A notice by the To Awamutu poundkeeper appears in another column. Mr J. Hod^on, Te Roro West, has for ,4ale g«)ocl beed and table potatoes, £3 10s per ton c Rore.
