Wkllington, Wednesday. The police here have received information that jewellry to the value of £150 was stolen last week from a gentleman staying at an hotel in Christchurch, said to be the son of the Duke of Leinster. Hodgson, bill clerk in the Union Bank, was remanded till Wednesday. It was stated in court that the total defalcations amounted to over £100. Hodgson is cousin to a man of the same name who, while in the service of the National Bank some time ago, stole a large sum in gold from it, and buried the money in a churchyard in Christchurch.
