[Received September 15th, 2.15. p.m.) Melbourne, September 15. In reply to a communication from the Governor of Victoria, asking whether a vessel was available for despatch to the New Hebrides for the purpose of protecting British interests in those island*, Admiral Tryon has stated that two men-o'-war are already at the New Hebrides, and he believes the state of affairs there has been exaggerated.
