Thk first day s racing of the spring mooting took place ..t Hawkesbury to-day. Tho weather was tine and the attendance good. The racing throughout was of the highest order.

Spuing Handicap. — Won by Pet Girl, Victory being second, and Alma third. For this race eleven started. Pet Girl won ea«ilv.

Hawkeshury Guineas.-— Kitißfish, 1 ; Crossfire, 2 ; Tamarisk, 3. Other starters were Acme, Gentihty, Orßban, and Lord William. The race resulted in a very close finish, Kingfish winning by a head, Time, linin. 40secs.
