(JISDOKNE, Tuesday. Tiirke small shop-j and a storeroom of the British Hotel were burned last night. A man going home after the tire fell into a drain, and broke his leg. Wi Pere, M.H.R , was thrown out of his but»gy last night, and had his arm bioken.
WELLINGTON, Tuesday. William Henry Dobson lias been adjudicated a bankrupt, on the ground th.it he has secretly left the colony. Dobson is the man referred to in previous telegiams as secietary of one of the Courts of Toresters. He is said to have gone to Kimberley.
CHRISTCHUR^H, Tuesday. By a fire at Springfield to-night a dwelling house occupied by Mrs shanks was d-jstioyed. The furniture is insured in the Xe\v Zealand office for £100. The tiro was caused by a child setting the to some toitoi sjrass m a loom.
DTXEDIX, Tuesday. A five-roomed house, owned by J. Uaird, was destroyed by fire <»t Mornington. Ir wos insured for £1"2."> in the National, and the furniture for £7-3 in the Equitable.
