WAIKATO HUNT CLUB MEETING.
.. j ~— -. • Thk Committee of the Waikato Hunt Qhub JVCofeting; met at the Criterion Hotel, Cambridge, on Satuiday evening, Mr .T. MuNiaol iv the chair. A draft programme was made out of thefollowing events, which will be .submitted to the meeting next Saturday for approval ; — Huiit Handicap Hurdles, 1\ mile* ; Ladies' Bracelet, once round course ; Waikato Hunt Cup Handicap Steeplechase of 25 fcovn., distance about three iniW, twice round the steeplechase course ; Waikato Hunter*' Handicap Steeplechase, once round the steeplechase course ; and Selling Hack Race, once, round the course. About £100 will bn given in prize money, and the dateof the meeting will bo tixrd when it is known positively when the PakurangA hounds will be in the neighbourhood. In order to avoid any unpleasantness with regard to the decisions of the stewards, the stewards for the coming meeting have been elected from gentlemen residing at a distance from Cambridge. The matter i^ being taken up with great spirit, and a good day'.s spoit m.^y be anticipated.
