WAIKATO CHEESE AND BACON FACTORY COMPANY. Extraordinary Meeting of Shareholders.

An extraordinary general meeting of the shareholders of the Waikato Cheese and Bacon Factory Company (Limited), was held at the office »f the company, tho Hamilton Auction Mart, last night. Capt. Steele occupied the chair, in the absence of Mr Seddon, who was pi evented by domes tic affliction from being present, and there was a good attendance of shareholders. The object of the meeting was to confirm or otherwise the resolution come to at the annual meeting to wind np the company on the payment by shareholders of the 13th call. Tho' chairman explained the position briefly. Capt. McPherson moved that the Waikato Chee^B and Bacon Factory Company (Limited) be wound up voluntarily. Ho thought there were only two courses to purnue, either to wind up voluntarily (»r bo wound up. Thoip who wore present at th« last meeting would all agree that the, course land down by Mr Swarbrick was the light [ one to puisne. They all knew that if the property were forced on the market, it wot\ld only bring * nominal price. The induntiy waia good one and tho^e who had lost in the venture should bo gl.id to know that ii would still continue. Mr Barugh seconded the motion, which was carried unanimously. Mr S. S. Graham moved that Captain McPherson be appointed liquidator at a remuneration of £10. Captain Runciman seconded the motion, which was carried without dissent. Mr Yon Stunner moved that the liquidator be instructed to dispose uf the property and business of the company on such terms as will secure that the shareholder* shall be lelieved from all liability on payment of the thirteenth call. Mr (ireville Smith seconded, and the motion was put and carried unanimously. The meeting closed with the usual compliment to the chair.
