Sydney, August 28. The proposals of the Government in connection with the celebration of the centenary will embrace a series of grand public gatherings, extending from January 23 to Fel>ruary 7 next year. Invitations will bi» issued to the British Association to visit Sydney at the time, and to the Australian naval squadron to rendezvous at Port Jackson during the celebration.
