OHRISTCHURCH. Tuesday. A singular case of death hy drowning occurred At Springfield to-day. A child, two years old, the daughter of Mr Heenan, of the Springfield Hotel, slipped into a pool of water a few inches deep, falling on her face. Although she could not have been more than a tew moments in the water when taken up by a Mpter, all attempts to restore animation proved unsuccessful, Wednesday. ROSS, Tuesday.
