TAOTAOROA ROAD BOARD.

A mkkhng of the Taotaoroa "Road Board was held at Cambridge ou Saturday, at Kirkwoods Private Hotel. Present : Messrs N. Hunt (chairman), Geo. Hally, and W. Seimnens. The Clerk stated th it the amount in the bank to the credit of the board was at present £K5 3s 3d. ( Mr J. S. Bond wrote, asking for a share of the board's job printing favours. Letter received. The Piako County Council wrote, acknowledging the receipt of a letter from the board recommending them to apply tor a Go\ eminent contribution. Mr Sperry wrote that £31 2s subsidy had been placed to the board's credit. Capt. McPherson told the board they had lost £2 to £1 on all rates collected that were in arrears, and on any r.ites not collected. Mr C. M. Bruiiskill wrote st.iting that the hill at Bridgewuter was a bad piece of road. The road requited widening, and .'. piece wanted taking off the hill. The Chairman said h«i understood that Mr Bum^kiH had already been authorised to h+ve this work dove, and asked Mr Wtittam, who was piesent, whether, if the work was undertaken now, it would not cut up the road too much.
