Proposed Visit of the New South Wales Team.
After the match last Saturday a meeting of footballer* \va* held in the Royal Hotel. Two members of the Huntly Club were in attendance. Mr T. G. Sandes was voted to the chair. Me«»M N. Hunt (captain), and A. Souter (hon. sec), of the Cambridge Club, T. Hinton (captain), P. ft. Stevem, (hon. bee), Hamilton Club, and McNeil (captain), Huntly Club, were chosen ai a management committee to arrange all matters connected with the match. Mr P. E. Stevens wa» elected hon. .sec. to the committee. Messrs T. G. Snndes and N. Hunt were appointed by the meeting to select the Waikato representatives. A meeting: of the management committee was. held afterwards. It was resolved to have a trial match, the probables v. allcomers, next Saturday in Hamilton, and the secretary was instructed to write to every club in Waikato, inviting members to take part in this match. Any footballer in Waikato who desires a place in the representative team .should play next Saturday, a^ the players will not bo chosen ftoni any one club, but will be picked for their individual merits. The following eighteen probables were selected to play in the match* — Luke, McNeil, R. Wood, N. Hunt, Kallendar, Ring, E. Pilling', A. Souter, Porter, Moon, W. Odium, T. Hinton, Mayes, W. Yon Stunner, (Inbble, Graham, Morgan, Quint). The secretary w;is ttls<> m.strticted to write to Mr Hudson, Dihtrict Manager of Railways, to arrange for cheap fares on the day of the match, and also to the Hamilton Domain Board to ask for nermibbtun to charge on that day.
