HAMILTON DOMAIN BOARD.
Thk regular mooting of the Hamilton Domain Board wan held last night. Present : Messrs W. A. Graham (chnirmnn), Jones, Bell, Barton, Scott, Tippon, and Edßecumbe. CoiutKspoNDENCK. — A. letter was read from Mr L. Heyes, asking the board to put up to lease by auction the following lots :— 201), 200, and 108, three acre*, Hamilton We'-t. — Resolved that tho application be granted, the land to be offered at an upset price of 7» <»d per acre, and als,o that lots 207 and 197, two acres, be offered at the same titne and at the same upset price. — A letter was read from Mr U. Hall, asking for aoma recompense for improvements he had made on certain lots lately sold by the board. — Resolved that the letter be received.— Mr Francis Crawford wrote, asking permission to transfer | lot 44, domain Unda, Hamilton East, to j Mrs Vowless. -—Resolved that the application be granted subject to all liabilities .for rent, &c. f being paid.— An application was considered from the Hamilton Football Club, asking for the use of Sydney Square at the forthcoming match with the JN'ew South Wales team, and to allow of their making a charge for entrance. — The application was grantsd. Re Dkainauk Sch km c.— Moved by the chairman that the engineer be instructed to prepare specifications for the drainage scheme prepared, and that tenders be called for forthwith. Seconded by Mi- Jones and carried. It was also arranged that so soon as tho number of pipes required can be ascertained that tenders be called for same, so that contractors may have the advantage of being supplied with pipes at the lowest cost. Mr Hines, who was in attendance, asked the board to reconsider their decision in reference to drainage of his land, a» if the drainage were not carried out he could not do anything with a large portion of the land he had leased. Resolved that the Domain Board communicato with tho Waikato County Council with the view of joining in cutting a dram from the domain laiuN, Hamilton East, through the Agricultui.il Reserve. Mr Barton moved that the engineer b • requested to explaiu his action in refeienue to preparing plans, &c, for lots 4"i and 47, Domain Lands, Hamilton E»>t, seeing that he now reports that the worK was hardly feasible, and could not re«om mend its being carried out. Seconded by Mi Tippen and carried. Tito committee appointed to value tho improvements on lots 20!) and 210, Hamilton East, reported that they had no re^otumen datum to make. Propovd by tho chairman, seconded by Mr Jone-., that tin* iei>"it ot the committee bo adopted. Carried. Resolved that tho improved domain lands, Hamilton East, bo put up to lease by auction for 14 year-, on the 30th m>t., upset price lfis per acre, tho external fence to be re-erected by the board, the dividing fence* to be erected by the lessees. A committee of tho whole was appointed to mark off the land m to suitable blocks ; three to form a quorum, to niton Wednesday next, at 7.30 p.m., and to report at ue\t mooting of the board. Mr Tippen moved that a sum of fc'7 10be vote 1 for the purpose of planting a fence of macrocarpa round .Sydney Square, Seconded by Mr Edgecumbe and cartied. A number of accounts were passed for payment and the board rose.
