Co. rep<irt< :— At tho sale of salvage of the Kukijhu Cheese Factory there was a numerous attendance, and good prices realised, viz., engine, £28 ; agitator, £1 17 a> tid ; sc<ew pi esses, 12s to 20s; pig troughs, fromj 5s to Us each. At Cambridge on Saturday, August 7th, it was an extremely wefc dny, and tMre was not a large utttendftacd of buyers for either horses or cattle. The cattle yards were well tilled, besng principally beef, and only a limited number w«w sold to the local trade. Several pens of f.it hoggets sold from 10-4 to 10^ (>d each. The horses brought forward wpie principally hacks, which were dull of sale. There is a good enquiry for plough novae-, and a good nunibei could have been ul acted. Wo quote : Hacks, £4 10s to £9 ; 'ponies iivui Jt!3; horse express and harness, £30 ; oinglo-scitvd bugiry, £18 ; lapstone kidney potatoes, Us pwr sack; bacon, (id per lb. j ciiu.t-., 30-, per ton ; fowls, Is 3d each. At Ohaupo on Tuesday, although a veiy wet day, there was a largo attendance, and fully double the quantity of cattle weio brought forward than were expected, the yaids being well tilled— frtun 000 to 700 bem<* penned -and with few exceptions all wore sold. About 100 dairy cows met a fair sale; any close to c.il\nig br.ugmg full values. About 200 grown htcen. brought good pricw con.sidenng theprrscnt pncesoi b<vt Miliug in Anckl.md. Young c.ittltf 1 are m better demand, and brought fully', ss per head more than at any previous ;hale. About 70 head of beef were yarded, some ot which wvio very choice. Buyers did not care to go to high prices, and several lot* remained unsold. A good numb ( er went to the gia/ior for better finishing. Only ono pen of fat sheep were yarded, and sold for 11s 9d. We also sold piivately 300 fat wethers at 11s each ; a medium draught maie, £14 14s • D. Y. plough, £5.
