A BOLD RASCAL.

' He looked so determined that the financier, after vain attempts to disarm his assailant, «aw no help for it and complied. Having examined the drafts and seen that thuy were all in order, Pillot put them in his pocket and backed towards the door, keeping his weapon pointed full on tho Baron. Before the clerks could come to the rescue, he bolted downstairs and escaped. In for mation was immediately given to the police and detectives, and telegrams were sent out in all directions. Pillot took the express for Geneva, and, on his arrival at the station there, was at once arrested by the Swiss police. He now lies in jail, pending the fulfilment of extradition formalities.
