WAITOA ROAD BOARD.

The usual monthly meeting of the Waitoa Road Board was held last Friday, all the members being present. The Engineer reported that Mr O'Donoghue had finished his contract for repairing the road near the railway station at Te Aroha. A number of other small joba wore reported as finished. The engineer was instructed to call for tenders for further works on the Maunga-kawa-Waiorongomai Road, "east of the Waitoa river. The board did not make the rate, of which notico had been given, in consequence of the roll for native lands n«t having been received, although the clerk had written and telegraphad to the Property Tax Commissioner regarding it. The clerk was instructed to wire agnin re the roll, and publicly notify anew the intention to make the rate. Accounts amounting to £132 9ft were passed for payment.— (Correspondent.)
