[REUTERS TELEGRAMS.] NEW POLICE REGULATIONS. [BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSCIATION.]
Welling i ox, Monday. IT is underwood the Government hare in contemplation to offer all appointments to police and permanent militia to volunteers under certain regulation*. Police recruits will be expected to pas, a probationary course in the peun.inent militia. Regulations as to the age, height, education, character, etc., will ■shortly be drawn up, and it is intended to distribute as far as may bo equally the appointments to the service.
