At the Supreme Court to-day, sentence which had been deferred in the case of Richard Aldndge for the laiconcy of Los .3d from the person, prisoner was sentenced to five years' hard labour. In the House to-day, the Minister of Justice stated that the modical officev had examined Te Whiti, who is in custody, and he had reported that Te Whiti had one of the soundest chests he had examined. With reference to the barque Chasca Pilot Holmes states that the vessel first appeared off Sinclair Heads, and passed Pencarrow Head about seven miles off shote, apparently being bound northwards. She was off Cape Palliser when the first indication that .she wanted a pilot waa seen, on the 28th May. The pilot boat put off,, but scarcely left the land when a sttdng northerly breeze set in, and the Chasca, hoisting her topgallant sails, stood out to sea. This wusthehibt Been of her.
