Porgery. , .. , Auckland, Friday Night. Thomas Chambers, alias John Cambers, was committed for trial to-day for forging John Abbotts name to a bill.
The Unemployed. At the meeting of the unemployed today some strong remarks were made regarding the action of the authorities. «Thei Mayor and Mr Jeune, one of the members of the unemployed deputation, had a personal altercation. The meeting resolved to send another telegram to the Premier.
The Search for C&ffery. The police are still scouting the Waitakerei ranges for the two men supposed to ba Catfery and Fenn. Sererai settler* spetik positively of having* seen, two men answering to the description of the fugitives.
Charitable Aid. A hundred and fifty applications were received fur the pout of Assistant Relieving Officer. At the Hospital Board 1 meeting to-day an application was received from the Hamilton Town Clerk for immediate relief .to a poor family in j that township, particulars having already been sent in. Thesecretary was directed to rdply for the third time that when the borough had paid its contribution (he relief .desired would be given. , * '1
