Mk Alfkeo Bucklano's Weekly Re* PORr.— At the Haymarket on Friday, July 1G : Loose fodder ranged from 2s fid to 3s 9d the cwt, pressed fodder £4 to £4 10s the ton, maize 2s 8d to 3s, oa*s 2s 7d to 3s 3d the bushel, chaff £4 12s 6d, carrots 40s, bonedubt £7 5s the ton. Horse stock were yarded in moderate numbers, and fairly competed for at late values. At the hide and skin sale on Tuesday, hides were pitched in full number, light-weight hides were at lower values, but heary-ifreights held their price, and brought up to 4.\d the lb. Tallow from 13s 14s 9d the cwt. Sheepskins were also in full number, brought from 9d to 2s 3d each. At the cattle sales held in the country districts, there has been a good demand at high prices relative to the value of fat cattle for all brought forward. Young dairy cows, near their calving, have also been in demand, prices ranging between £G and £7 each. At the Remuera Yards dn Thursday, no store cattle yarded. Dairy cows in moderate number. Choice animals at calving in demand from £6 10s to £8 each. Fat cattle in usual number, but were at lower values. Inferior cows from 45s each, and best draughts of steers averaged not more than 15s the lOOlbs. Fat sheep in full numbers, and maintained last week's values. A few early lambs brought from 13& to IDs each (but they were well grown), hoggets 10s each, wethers 2^d the lb. No ewes yarded. Pigs of all classes in better inquiry than of late. Messrs Hunter and Nolans Weekly Report.— Horses : There have been a good many offered for sale, and found purchasers at prices ruling for the past two weeks. Above an aveiage number were submitted by auction at the Durham Yards on Friday. Bidding was fairly good throughout the sale, and but few remained unsold at the conclusion of the sale. We quote : Hackb, at from £5 10a to £15; harness horses, £10 t-j £15 ; draught horses, £20 to .£25. Wool, hides, skins, and tallow : A good many hides were pitched at the Durham Yards on Tuesday, but again principally of light description. We quote: Hides, frbtn 2.', ti to 4£d per lb ; skins, from ■Sd to 2s each : tallow, 12s 9d per cwt. Cattle: The number brought forward has been sufficient for requirements, and with the exception of good dairy cows the'demand was slack. The Newmarket Yards on Tuesdayjwere fairly filled. There was steady competition throughout the sales, and the previous week's pi ices were obtained. We quote : Dairy cows, at from £5 to £8 7s_6d^; stores, nominal. Beef : Steers, from £5 15s to £8. Sheep : There has been a good muster, particularly of fat wethers, for which there was an upward tendency in value. There was also a slight upward movement in inferior descriptions. Wethers sold at from 12s 3d to 17a (3d ; ewes, at from , 9s Gd to 12s Gd. Figs : Small supply, demand good at fiom 3d to 4d per lb live j weight. Messrs G. W. Binnry and Sons' Report.—At our sales on Tuesday last competition for hides was still dull, bulk sold privately. Heavy m\-, none sold ; medium weights .sold up to 20s each ; cow hides, all cleared up to 3d per lb. Calfskins still in demand at late rates : damaged, lAd to 2^d per lb. Sheepskins : Demand for all offered brisk. Country skins up to 2s; town butchers, 2s Gd to 2s 9d ; lamb skins, 2s Gd each. Tallow : Good, 14s Gd ; medium, 10s per cwt.
