WAIKATO MARKETS.

Messrs Alfked Auckland and Co. Kkpoki I.—1 .— At Cambridge on Saturday last, the cattle yards were well filled with cattlo, but excepting dairy cows and beef few sold. Dairy cows, £4 5a to £5 los ; fat heifers, £3 155; young steers, £2 10a. At 11 o'clock sale at the bazaar there was h huge attendance. Prices were :— Ducks, Is (>d ; gee?>e, 2s ; fowls, la 2d to Is (id ; chati, 2s Gd per bag ; oats, 3s 2d per bushel ; fencing wire, No. 8, £10 per ton ; bacon,, od to (>Jjd per lb. At the horse sale there was a large nnniber of horses brought forward. Ath'rsta good many sold, but before half the horses were offered prices fell, and not mure than half the horses were offered. Hacks, from £4 5s to £10 ; pair of draught geldings, £HO. At Ohaupo on Tuesday there was a small muster of s>tore stock and pi ices were low compared with late values, but .stock brought as much as buyers can afford considering price of beef. Dairy cow.-,, £4 to Io 10s; grown steeis, £4 2» (Id to £4 10-, ; 2i-year-old steers. £3 LSs, and £3 7s (id and £3 ; small speyed heiferb passed at £1 18s. A large number of beof yarded, and all sold but five head, at from Jb'4 7s 0d to £6 2s (id for fat cows. At Waitoa on Thursday a small muster of cattle, and only 20 head sold at from £3 10s to £4 Is for fat cows ; and £3 to £3 10s for backward springers ; and £5 10s and £3 ."is for good dairy cows.
